Favourite Blue Jays?

Postby mweir145 » Mon Jan 09, 2006 9:32 pm

I thought this would be a good thread to see who is the most popular Jay (especially now with Hudson gone) among fans.

Here's my top 5 list:
1. Lyle Overbay (From what I've seen of him, he looks like a character guy, and he sounds like he really believes in this team)
2. Roy Halladay
3. B.J Ryan
4. Gregg Zaun
5. Vernon Wells

I'll go with

Halladay
Lyle Overbay
Gregg Zaun
AJ Burnett
Vernon Wells

I have a story about Wells. Last year at one of the Jays vs Nationals games fans were allowed to go onto the field before the game and take pictures with Blue Jays players. We got there and my friend is a big wells fan so we were callng at Wells to come over so we could get a picture, so Wells turned around and looked at us took a step towards us then turned around and walked the other way. My friend was so pissed off i was upset at the time but now i got over it. Till this day my friend is still upset about what happend lol :-b

Vernon Wells by far (since O-Dogg left). I think my second favorite is probably Rios.
2nd in the Baseball Leg of the Cafe Challenge.

as far as current jays go....

1. Aaron hill...i'm a 2nd basemen and i love the way he plays
2. Greg zaun...the guy isnt the most talented but he plays with a passion that a lot of players dont have
3. Doc...nasty stuff...great control...great guy
4. Hillenbrand...when he stole home off of RJ and jason giambi last year....that just made my day
5. Vernon Wells...gotta love the plays he can make out there in CF

Noteables: scotty "he DOWNS another" downs and reed johnson
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

I'm going for Overbay. He came on strong and I think he's going to be a good one. Watch him to lead the young guys with the power.
