Best Cover Songs

Just wanted to see if we could get a cool list of good cover songs.

For example:
Joe Cocker's "With a little help from my friends" by The Beatles
Jimi Hendrix "All along the watchtower" by Dylan
Tool: "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin

I have a Hendrix of Johnny Be Good where he plays it live and its amazing.

Those are the ones that come to mind, there are prolly many more live shows where bands played great cover songs.

im a big Dylan fan. however, this is one of two cover songs that are actually better than the original. Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt is the other.

Zeppelin's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is a Joan Baez cover. I love that song!

I liked Johnny Cash's version of NIN's Hurt. There are not many guys who can convey that immense sadness with just his voice.

Nirvana covering Bowie's Man Who Sold the World. I think Nirvana did it better.

I like Metallica's version of Bob Seger's Turn the Page.

GNR doing Live and Let Die.

And tons of Clapton or cream songs that they covered.

Dylan is one of my favorites but i totally agree that Hendrix made it better.

I've always liked Donny Hathaway's version of "A Song for You" and Jimmy Cliff's version of "Many Rivers to Cross"

Leadbelly wrote a song in 1939 called "Black Betty." Ram Jam sped it up and did a great cover in 1977. Nick Cave did an even better version in 1986. Oh, Black Betty.
