i have these guys on my minor league squad and might have to trade or 2 so im wondering who it should be.

Callaspo, Alberto
Gutierrez, Franklin
Hamels, Cole
Miller, Adam
Quentin, Carlos
Romero, Rickey
Purcey, David

Don't know all of them but I like these:


1)Quentin, Carlos -- Really like this guy

2)a.Hamels, Cole -- should be a solid #1 or #2
b.Miller, Adam --great upside after injury..risky

To be fair, that barfight he got in was pretty stupid, resulting in a broken hand. For now, that was an isolated incident and the rest of his injuries that he continually comes down with have nothing to do with that.

Quentin is easily #1 on that list and it's not even close. Miller and Hamels are bunched together in terms of upside, but obviously have to overcome injuries and are behind Quentin. Ricky Romero is behind them and could be a quick mover through the minors, but lacks the upside of either Miller or Hamels.

Of the rest, I don't see a ton of upside. I don't see any of them being much more than adequate regulars at this point, although Purcey probably has the best chance to prove me wrong of the three.

Yeah, indeed it wasn't the smartest thing, but to be honest I don't think anyone knows the real story besides to ones involved. When I think of players that need their head screwed on, Dukes is a prime example ... not Hamels.

Gutierrez has immense power potential and might get to the majors faster than many of the rest because he has been called the best defensive OF that Cleveland has. Now that Coco and Gerut are gone, he has a clear path to the majors.

Scouts have compared him to Juan Gonzalez. (hopefully without all the injuries). I am high on this guy.
