I wouldn't drop Politte for Carter simply because Politte is on a team that should win at least 90 games, while Carter is on a team that will struggle to win 60. Just keep an eye on the situation and jump as soon as it looks like Lopez or Acevedo takes the job.

I'm just going to point out that closers could care less if an inherited runner scores. As long as that runner doesn't tie the game or win it for the other team. I agree that Politte got lucky today, but he wasn't concerned with the runner that was already on base.
