What is up with Dontrelle???

What does everybody think about Dontrelle Willis, especially people from Florida cuz they get to hear all the insight on the kid. Is he going to last to consistantly give up just 1 2 or 3 runs each start??

I think that Dontrelle has proved to be a force to be reckoned with at this point in the season. He's dominated at every level in the minors, so it's not a question of whether he'll be good or not, it's a question of when. He was not expected to be in the rotation this early in his career, but the injuries to Beckett and AJ Burnett have sped up his development process. I think he'll continue to have value as a fantasy starter this year, unless he's asked to pitch an inordinate amount of innings. In two levels in the minors, he only pitched 150 last year. Asking him to pitch any more than 180 this year would be a travesty.

Agree that overuse has to be a concern considering his locale.

They are being very careful with him. He is also pretty efficient. I think he should be able to stay solid for the rest of the year, I don't see a huge dropoff in his future. He may slow down, but I can't see him falling apart the way others have.

He still has the advantage of hitters not really knowing him yet though. That will come in time.

He will go in a funk some time this year, and everyone will panic, but then he will return to dominance, but not like he is pitching now.
