Which would you rather have...MONDESI or EVERETT...?

Postby Clevelander » Sun Jun 22, 2003 7:59 am

i have both and am being asked to give one in a trade.

my team is this...
POSADA,D.YOUNG,CATALANOTTO,JETER,PUJOLS
MONDESI,EVERETT,WILSON
BRYNES,DAVANNON,KENDALL
(i have brynes at utility...)

in this deal i would be acquiring ICHIRO which i dont mind because he brings average and speed. myself i'm leaning toward keeping mondesi because of him bringing the speed to the table.

any help..? there is more in this trade but the basic question i have is that i have to pick one of those guys, so who is it..?

Wow...I hope you get a lot of replies to this question....I think..to get Ichiro would be great for any team....the way he is playing!
I have seen(he's on my team) Mondesi drop over 40 points on his batting average in the last month or so.....so that is a down side to him.....but..he is on the Yanks....and they all go on tears ...and they are in a great pennant race...

....can't say the same for Everett and that isa big down side for him

good luck ;-D

I would keep Mondesi. He won't be back to his begining of the season form, but he will continue to improve

Keep Mondesi. He has been very good at times in his career, though he had a horrible year or two with the Blue Jays.

I'd keep Everett. He's slumping now, but the Rangers line-up should produce as much as anyone's except Toronto.

If the Yankees interest in Beltran is serious, Mondesi might platoon or get traded.

I'm also looking to deal Everett (Byrnes emergence), but it isn't going so well. Not a ringing endorsement for Everett, just a slight preference.

:-[ Well...Mondesi came up tonight...at least three times....with runners in scoring position....(and all I needed was any hit + RBI or a home run or even a stolen base from him....TO WIN THIS WEEK!) and went 0-5 with a walk.......good grief....

he has now dropped over forty points in a month...

Everett's slump..Ichiro in a trade....they both look pretty good :-[

I'd keep Everett. The Ranger's lineup is overdue for a real hot streak.
