Rafael Soriano in the starting roatation?

LCBOY,

Not every pitcher is a K guy. Look at his other stats besides K related; like BAA, WHIP, ERA, GBO/FBO. Plus he has had some of the worst run support, so he really should have more W's up there.

LC BOY...poor phrasing on my part. What I meant to say was that Franklin won't be replaced by Soriano unless he fades. And there's a decent chance he will. But I'd say he's safe for at least the next several starts, and the leash gets longer with each successful outing.

Yes, but a good pitcher should average at least 5 to 5.5 Ks per 9 innings for long term success. Averaging 5K per 9 innings is not a lot. My point was that strikeout rate is the #1 indicator for long term success. Safeco Field is a pitcher's park so it helps Franklin...

Franklin did great tonight:
6 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks, 1 ER

I know it's against the lowly Padres, but he looks alright now.

A good pitcher wins games in my opinion. I don't care how he does it.

not sure what hudson and soriano have to do with each other but i own tim hudson i am not crying. soriano is the one who makes me cry cause i want him to crack the starting rotation. i cry when i want to cry, not when you tell me! im sorry if that offends you but its true.
