Another vote for Butler. Big-time power and average guy. Kinda worried about where/if he'll play in the field though. I've read a few articles projecting him as major league DH.

Both are great options for the future. You cant go wrong with either player but with that said Id take Butler over Pie...but I love Pie's future.

Butler. Because I don't trust the Cubs with Pie. He looks to be a very similar player to Corey Patterson. If they rush him like they did to Pitty, he will turn out to be the same player.

I really think Pie and Patterson are different in many ways...

Patterson had a great year at 19 in A ball but his average dropped to .261 when moved to AA...along with 115Ks inunder 450ABs. He has the potential to have immense power in the majors but just doesnt have the discipline to make anything happen.

Pie hasnt shown near the power Patterson sports at 19 and early 20's. But unlike Patterson, Pie has gotten better from the move to AA. His K numbers are still a bit scary but his power is improving. At 20 he had an OPS of over .900 in AA. Coachs say the guy has alot of room to grow and may end up a big league power hitter. The guy definitely needs to work with the cubs base coach (I think Vince Coleman) in order to understand how the base stealing thing works, his SB/CS ratio is terrible.
