Why Chicago? I haven't loved the moves they've made, but re-signing your premier slugger in Konerko, and acquiring two guys like Thome and Vazquez isn't that bad. I don't think they've lost anything significant. How are they losers?

Also, I think it's obvious the Marlins have lost, because they are not trying to improve right now. It's not really their goal. I think teams that are trying to win now but seem to be getting worse would be better for this type of poll.

But of the choices listed, Florida has obviously lost the most talent.

i don't really think anyone would pick someone besides the marlins. and i agree with bomber the white sox have not had a bad off season. i don't even know where you would even come up with that. you may not like the deals but we haven't lost anyone ,besides rowand, that was a major contributor to the team last year. sure el duque came up huge in the payoffs in boston but he wasn't a super star in the regular season. just because you may not like the deals does not mean we had a terrible offseason.

Yeah, this is a pretty silly poll. A monkey writing with his own feces could tell you that Florda's talent level has dropped severely, but they've made no effort to mask their intentions. The White Sox have their World Series dominating team back, adding Javier Vazquez and Jim Thome and re-signing Konerko. Where's the loss there? Boston has brought in an arm in Beckett who could do wonders, may have a healthy Schilling and effective Foulke coming back (then again, they may not), and have woes as SS and now CF. A team that I've expected more out of is the St. Louis Cardinals, who have signed Sidney Ponson and Encarnacion as their big off-season moves, to this point. Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of these two guys pan out, but they're not two players I'd be all psyched to be bringing in, either.

Obviously FLA would be #1.

CHW in my opinion have had one of the best off seasons. When you can add Thome & Vasquez for an average outfielder at best (Rowand) & a average pitcher (Hernandez) you've done something right.

What about the Angels? Losing two of your five starting SP's isn't a great off season.

Well i'm not going to vote for the Marlins, because well that's just to obvious. I would have to say the team who's had the worst off season has to be the Astros. They haven't really done anything and while they made the W.S. they really needed to do something if they wanted to get back.

I have to agree with you here...but all will be better once they make that blockbuster trade they've been talking about for weeks and weeks... ;-7

The Red Sox didn't resign Damon so they're losers this offseason? :-o
They esentially traded Renteria for Beckett & Lowell, a trade I would do 10 out of 10 times.
