I think Encarnacion at that price is a decent deal. He won't be relied on too heavily in that lineup and he should do fairly well hitting for them in the 7 spot.

its a decent deal for a decent player, but after watching the cards in the postseason last year i will be disappointed if he is the major offensive offseason acquisition for the cards. it seems the cards needed a person to get on base in front of pujols or someone that could drive pujols in. i hope will is working on something else.

They do have someone to drive in PUJOLS. His name is Rolen....
