1. Pay more attention to your cut-outs. It should take awhile to select out your players.
2. Try making the pics bigger. You won't see the whole body, but it generally looks better.
3. Add a stroke to your text, or something to make it stand out.

It good for a first sig though.

Along with the stroke, you could add a drop shadow to the text to make some depth.

Don't know what the text is at the top, looks like a timestamp of your bg pic. You could either paint that out or if you have Photoshop, use the clone stamp.
