Well, I got a IPOD Nano for Christmas (a little early cause my mom will be working all week starting tomorrow).
Anyway, is there no way to get free songs on this thing??? Cause, curse me to hell or whatever, there is NO WAY I'm gonna pay for all the MP3's I wanna put on this thing through ITUNES and I didn't know if there was a program or some way to download free MP3's and put them on the IPOD.
If you disagree with my stance I understand, but I was only interested in people who have had this issue and if there were ways around it or not.
Absolutely there are ways around it. Download a Morpheus/Limewire/Any other P2P program and download the songs you want. Then move them to the folder where your Itunes music library is located, and you're all set.

Oh, I have Ares, but I didn't realize that's all I had to do. I thought the IPOD would recognize a non-itune song or something.
I'll download something real quick and see if it works out.
Whoops, looks like I had to convert to AAC format to be able to play on the IPOD.

Ipods will play MP3s. I think you need to read around a little bit. Its just like any other mp3 player.

javascript:{void(term=prompt('Enter keywords to find a song with Google:',''))} if(term) location.href='http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&q=%3Fintitle%3Aindex.of%3F+'+escape(term)
Copy that exactly as a bookmark, and then bring it up and type up song name followed by ".mp3". Will help you find some songs for free.
if your opperating on a large network, say a collegic setting, there is a way to freely download songs from people who are sharing their music over the hardline. Download the program My Tunes Redux. its great. although if no one else is around sharing their music on the same network it is kinda useles. In my dorm room i have acces to like 12 different people's music at a time so it works great for me.
