Yeah, this has to be horrible for Tony and his family. Hard to think about football when something like this happens....

RIP. :,-(

Okay, don't crucify me for saying this, really, don't...I'm not insensitive.

My thoughts and condolences are definitely with the Dungy family for their loss. However, deaths of unnatural causes on a whole run rampant in the world. Whether it's sickness, murder, or suicide, it happens so much. Why does it seem like the majority of society is unaware and ignorant of this until it happens to a celebrity or a celebrity's kin? If people are making comments such as, "light a candle for Dungy tonight," why don't we light a candle for all the ones that died too young?

You're all too correct warrick. I was exactly those people you talked about until my Sophmore year in college when my best friend from High School and College roomate took his own life. I walked in, but it was too late, and he died in my arms as paramedics rushed in to try and save him. Until then, suicide and death were foreign concepts to me, but I didn't even know it. It's a real shame about Tony Dungy and his family and what they are going to endure, but no more of a shame than the other hundred families who have to endure the same thing that very day. An American commits suidice every 18 minutes. It's real, and it can happen to your friend, your family member, or even you if you don't stop and evaluate life clearly from time to time.

It's a tragedy, but...

The circumstances are so darn sketchy. His girlfriend leaves the apartment at 1:30 am. To take a walk. By herself!! Leaving him alone for 10 minutes or so. At which time he offs himself. Something smells very fishy to me, and it's the Dungy kid's girlfriend. ( :-D ) I suspect foul play.
