Non-profit website design/content advice needed

Hey guys, I need a little Christmas help. I'm now in charge of our organizations website and need some ideas/advice for keeping its' content fresh, and looking as good as possible.

The site is a structured site that can't be changed much design wise, so I need to focus on content ideas and making what I can change the best it can be. I can basically only change the interior of the pages. Obviously, most content will revolve around the programs and services we offer, and the occasional fundraiser.

Just hoping some of you have experience or good ideas for a site like ours. You can PM or post.

Any help is appreciated, as are any donations you'd care to make to Goodwill Easter Seals.

I'm not a Web guy but I used to be somewhat involved (and still am a wee bit) with my org's site, so I have a little experience. As far as content, I know interactive items like polls, action items, e-cards, tell-a-friend and things like that usually do pretty well. Flash animations are nice of course. Is this the kind of thing you're looking for?

Everybody is blogging these days too - I bet a heartwarming blog that highlights the people your org is helping would do well. People like reading good news.

Well I think that the structure is kind of flat, the side tool bar could be spruced up a bit....
