Which of these under the radar 1B would you rather have... Justin Morneau or Prince Fielder??
It seems like they both could put up very simliar numbers and are slipping very very late in drafts.

I would say Fielder. You can probably grab him later and his power upside is just as great if not more than Morneau.

And I didn't think I'd be saying this during the current decade, but I think Milwaukee actually has better lineup protection for Fielder than Minnesota has for Morneau. This is a sad day, indeed.
Is there anything fluffier than a cloud?
If there is, I don't want to know about it.

Fielder. There is no reason to pick Morneau over him on what amounts to a good 1/2 a season in 2004. Same sort of thing has had Kearns getting propped up for years. Not to say Morneau is going to be a bust, but I rather take the upside of an extremenyly high prospect who is MLB ready from all accounts over a 1b that has disappointed for the better part of his MLB career.

Morneau, but those bone chips (which he still hasn't surgicially repaired?!) make me pretty risk-adverse.
We have 2 guys in my main league that always grab the up-and-comers WAY too early, almost always to the rest of the leagues benefit, so I guarantee Fielder won't be available at a spot that I would like to pick him.

I think both are really good gambles late in drafts next year. I actually think you might be able to get Morneau later in the draft because he was really highly touted last year and even though his problems were injury related I'm sure people will see him as over hyped.
