Is this a good choice

I have the #2 pick in our minors draft and we draft three rounds. We also can keep our guys from last year and lose the picks. For every player i keep I lose my top pick all the way down. So 1 keeper I lose my #1 but i get to keep them at the previous year money I got them for.

Here are my keepers

LAST YEAR
1st rd Ian Stewart $5
2nd rd Daric Barton $3
3rd rd Lasting Milledge $1

No the problem is that I can keep just lastings or Barton because I would lose my #1 pick. and would have to pick in the third. Does this make sense?

To safe guard Barton and lastings I think I will have to keep Stewart for my #1 pick unless i want to pick in the third.

Also I am assuming Delmon Young is going to be #1 as well since he isback in the pool due to his team from last year leaving the league.

Is stewart worth a #2 pick just to keep the other two??

I concur...all 3 are top 10 picks in a minor league draft. Keep em all.

Ian Stewart is worth the number 2 pick. He is a top 5-8 prospect (WHO WILL PLAY AT COORS! ). So since anyone who is considered a better prospect will likely already be gone.

ok.I got more info. I just found out that the guy with the #1 pick is VERY VERY high on Hanley Ramirez and is going to draft him. So the big question is do i keep my three still or throw them ALL back since I have to lose my #1 if i keep a gu from my system. I could hope that I get Lastings or Barton at my #2 pick and maybe take someone like Neil Walker with myh #3 pick.
Any thoughts???

If (and only if) Delmon is in the pool I would drop everyone for him. Delmon is that much better and that much more ready.

How many teams? I think the guys you have will be better than the guys you'll probably get if you throw them back. Unless of course it's a shallow league, then if you can get Delmon go for it. Still, in a normal league where you're not even positive you'll get Delmon, throwing back all those top 10 or so picks is risky. I'd still hang on to them.
