Now that he may be healthy will he produce or continue as an under achiever.

Your thoughts on whether he meets these numbers:

285 avg, 22 hr, 85 rbi 10 sb

I think he will fall a little short of that, take 5-10 pts off that avg and it looks good. He might not reach that 85 rbi mark either but its doable!

This should probably be in the 2006 predictions forum.

It's tough to determine what he's going to do this year but if he gets a full season I'll say he gets right around there on average and steals. I say he'll be a little under on HR's and RBI's. Maybe 15 HR's and 70 RBI's depending where they put Crosby in the lineup.

I was never a big fan of his, but that team sure did seem to take off when he got back into the lineup last year.

Over.
25 HR and 90 RBI batting third or fifth. Average and SB sound right. Improvement in contact, combined with his age, frame(size), and high minor league batting averages will translate to these improved numbers. This is....uh....assuming he doesn't get injured....

Last year he hit for better contact. Apparently he did alot of work on hitting to all fields and not just hacking. If you have a look on mlb.com's spray charts, you can notice a difference in where he got his safe hits - they aren't as shifted as he was in 2004. I think if he stays healthy, he is good for the projections that MrT has. Although I wouldn't bank on any steals from any A's players.

I think:

no Frank Thomas = Crosby batting 5th
Frank Thomas = Crosby batting 6th
