Maryland hands down...

Fort Meade near Laurel became a base because a train engineer delivering soldiers to Meade knew only one Meade, the one in Maryland. He was not aware of Fort Meade, Florida. The confusion happened so often a second base was built in Maryland in an attempt to avoid the confusion.

Go Maryland!!!!

Actually, I am currently typing this from Maryland right now. It's snowing like a mo fo and I think i'm gonna skip out on work early.

I've made my case for Maryland, but may I present to all of you:

Godlove's Liquors!

It's just downt he road from where I work and it's got quite the selection. I even have my very own "Godlove's Liquors" t-shirt.

One of their store mottos is "We're always open on Sundays because Godlove's Liquor!"

They also have a great assortment of wine and beer. A friend of mine once bouth a Nebuchadnezzar bottle of champagne (lower case c) that came mounted to a hinge so it could be poured without having lift the bottle. Just for the record, a Nebuchadnezzar bottle is the equivalent of 20 regular bottles, about 4 gallons. The cork was huge and we had to pop it outside because it shot about 50 feet.

In any case, my vote goes to Maryland... hope of Godlove's Liquor's, great crabs, Baltimore drug dealers and Cal Ripken, Jr.

That's the best liquor store name I've heard since Family Beer & Liquor in East Dubuque, IL. ;-D
