- The world's first installed parking meter was in Oklahoma City, on July 16, 1935. Carl C. Magee, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is generally credited with originating the parking meter. He filed for a patent for a "coin controlled parking meter" on May 13, 1935.

I do find it ironic that the first matchup is one of the most historic rivalries in college football. Even if Nebraska does suck now.

As for Oklahoma as a state, I like it for the most part. It doesn't compare to Texas, however.

brando+godfather+appocalypse now=better than all of them put together. i don't really have an opinion on either state but brando sways my vote.
