considering i'm a transplant into the yankee area and my mother was from PA originally that's not of a surprise for me.. gimme a month back in kentucky and i'll be close to 100 percent hillbilly again.

I'm 47% Yankee.

Almost everyone in Iowa says pop. I say soda sometimes to switch it up. Plus soda is fairly universal. Even if its not the common term most will know what you mean. If you say pop in some places you just get a funny look.
