A Nomar signing by the Yanks does not fill their needs imo, and even if Nomar stays healthy and plays great this year, I still don't think this improves their team that much over last year as offense was not one of their main problems.

i dont think it'll be a major contract, so it'll be a low risk/high reward deal. if he can continue from where he left off last season and can learn 1b he'll be able to help keep the yankee lineup from being too tired like they were last year.

As well, I do not see him working out as a first basemen. Surely Jason Giambi, who has played the position before, can handle those duties. Maybe he would be the full-time DH?
