No word on the length, or amount of the contract but Nomar would play 1B.

i dont think it'll be a major contract, so it'll be a low risk/high reward deal. if he can continue from where he left off last season and can learn 1b he'll be able to help keep the yankee lineup from being too tired like they were last year.

Nomar in Pinstripes -
As well, I do not see him working out as a first basemen. Surely Jason Giambi, who has played the position before, can handle those duties. Maybe he would be the full-time DH?
