Quick, Odd Question

I have a couple stowed safely away in my closet. I'd wear them, but I've discovered that I don't like wearing vests. It's like wearing half of a coat. If it's cold enough to wear a coat or a jacket, I don't want my arms sticking out so they can freeze off, you know what I'm saying? And if my arms won't get cold, then it's not cold enough to wear any sort of outerwear. :-b

Wait a minute - are you saying there are people who would disagree with this? :-?

I think they look silly, especially if just for fashion purposes. There are some old guys here at work who wear sweater vests but I allow it... they're all over 50 and look better than some old men who have the same wardrobe from 1969.

The vest is a tough one though, but I've seen nothing to suggest that it is in any way a "trend" although I do occassionally see it. I actually see more women wearing the "vest jacket" which was more popular on guys in the 1980's (think Back to the Future when Marty was wearing the vest jacket and everyone in the '50's thought it was a life preserver).

I was just as shocked to learn this as you are. Apparantly golf courses and fancy restaurants just don't see the style of anything baseball related.

I can honestly say that I've never worn any sort of vest. I dressed up as a Pirate for Halloween once and wore this homemade black felt vest thing, but costumes don't count. :-D

i would not wear that...

someone said it perfect, if it is cold enough to keep your torso warm, it is cold enough to keep your arms warm...

for me it goes from t-shirt to sweatshirt to winter jacket...no middle layers
