Yeah. I had this problem a couple of times. Both times I sent it back to them. They said they cleaned and presto!, it worked for about another year before acting up again. There's actually a class action lawsuit out there right now about this.

That's their website. If you don't have the receipts like me,

, I would recommend taking it to a licensed technician in your area and have them just open it up and clean it out.

This happened to my XBox a few years ago and I wound up buying another one after I found out it would cost $120 to ship it out ($150 for a new one.) I don't know how much of a help that was though.

find a friend or guy who is great with electronics, my brother gave one that did the same thing as yours, to a guy in his dorm, and he fixed it for him for 10-20 bucks.
you have to take it apart and clean it out

I had the same problem as you for a little bit. I cleaned out and did adjustments to my PS2 with the help of this guide and it works normally again. It is very detailed and clear with pictures.
