yup
It seems like a lot of detailed mumbo, but it really isnt. I Joined Mr Boras' League. I am a 5 year fantasy roto guy (mostly auction).
I read thru the rules, and had a couple things I needed to clear up. Mr boras got back immediately, and then posted the Q&A on the league forum in case others had the same questions.
As far as no salary cap goes, I wasnt sure about that either. But once you read the rules, and see the payout schedule , you will understand why it is counterproductive to plow 350 bucks into your team. These are real players , with real contracts that you just cant "get rid of "on the waiver wire if you dont like em. Just like the YANKEES, you own them. Now try to move your bad signings.
On the flip side, if you draft the right guy, you pretty much control him for 5 years until free agency at very little money. Im sure we would of all loved to have PUJOLS and Miggy cabrera on our teams for the last 5 tears for peanuts.........YOU HAVE THAT ABILITY HERE! Im used to paying 250 -1000 dollars to draft a team in a league. I may spend 100 dollars on my inagural team this season, and have more FUN than any of the others.
It is also set up as a 3x3 roto which is a little different. Gives players a little more or a little less value. The Draft is ONLY for Minor leaguers. Major leaguers will be auction.
GIVE IT A LOOK, and if you have any more questions, post em for Mr Boras. Hes pretty quick with the answers.......Rotodog
