that article says that even if they do bring the fences in it will only be in RF and the changes wont be great.

That RF power ally is pretty much the worst part of the field to hitters. If they move that in then there will be dramatic changes in HR numbers.

I'm not up on when PETCO opened but did that have anything to do with Peavy's sharp decrease in HR/9? I'm guessing Peavy's drop is mainly attributed to him matureing but I thought someone who sees him pitch regularly would know if he gets a fair share of flyball outs to right? If so, maybe his HR rate gets worse?
Notice the sharp drop from 2003 to 2004.
2002 - 11HR / 97.2IP (1.01HR/9) = normal
2003 - 33HR / 194.2IP (1.53HR/9) = extremely awful
2004 - 13HR / 166.1IP (0.70HR/9) = excellent
2005 - 18HR / 203IP (0.80HR/9) = very good
Did they open Petco for the 2004 season or were the Pads in Petco for 2003? earlier? Our league counts HRA as a roto cat and that drop caught us all by suprise.

Wow, that's it! Much ado about nothing. How many HR a year will that change add, maybe 2?
