Help me find a PT job, one for a College Student!

Postby Phatferd » Sat Dec 10, 2005 1:07 am

I have worked at an accountants office for 3 years. I am transferring to Arizona State at the end of the month and need to find a new place to work.

I am kinda over working in an office. I'll pretty much take what I can get that pays decent and is willing to work around my school schedule.

I was thinking of working at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City, but I will be looking right after XMAS and they will pretty much be letting people go around this time. I may be SOL at most retail stores, due to hiring their seasonal employees if they do need to fill jobs.

Does anyone know of good jobs that most people overlook? I could pretty much work every day of the week except M and W.

I'd rather take out Financial Aid and party every night!

I work at a Before and After School program. Pay's $9 an hour for me. I think they start at $7 here in Reno. Schedule's not really flexible because they're only open certain hours of the day. I'm going to look for a job at a golf course next spring when everything thaws out here, but until then, I'll take my $9 an hour. Pretty good for a PT job compared to what some of my friends make and the amount of effort required.

Does anyone know how to go about getting a job at a call center? I think ACS used to work in one? It seems like they could have flexible hours.

try waiting tables..

they are usually very flexible with school and you'll have cash in your pocket every nite, not to mention a meal.
