Not a major move in the fantasy world I know, but of interest for those who wondered who would be backing McCann this season.

Todd Pratt Statistics

Gotta like a backup catcher with a bit of pop and a .350 OBP ;-D

I don't, all I have is the Shanks article. I would guess a year at less than a million (he's never earned more than $875k).

Alright his numbers don't look to bad for a back up at that small of a price. Hopefully McCann can improve from having a veteran there to help him out.

So do I. But sometimes you just have to let go, sad as it is :,-(

We've offered Eddie arbitration by the way, I wouldn't be suprised to see him back to groom our young AAA pitchers, or even in a coaching role for the big team.

He is a great guy, but then so is Jordan :-o

Pratt really likes the NL East apparently. ;-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I figured they would get a older vet to back-up McCann. Good move.
