I've only heard the baseball coverage once, but Sirius does wonders with the NFL and Fantasy Football.
It's a tough decision. XM with MLB, NHL, and Opie & Anthony vs Sirius with NFL, NBA, and Howard Stern.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray
I personally have Sirius radio and couldnt be happier. It depends on which sport you like the most: If MLB is at the top of the list and sports such as football and basketball dont peak your interest, then go with XM. I believe they recently signed a deal with MLB to carry their games. However, if you prefer NFL, college football, NBA and the NHL (all carried live), then go with Sirius. Sirius also has 2 or 3 stations devoted to sports talk and one of them is usually focused around baseball. But again, if MLB is your top priority, I would go with XM, unless you dont really care about the other teams in Major League baseball but your own.
And Sirius is getting Howard Stern in January...you can decide for yourself if that is good or ot.
I have Sirius and love it...they also have Maxim radio which is pretty cool. I just got it recently so we'll see how the sports talk is during the baseball season...hopefully they have one or two that talk fantasy!

I thought the NHL was on XM?
Sorry, couldn't care less about NASCAR. IMO, it's not even a sport.

I love MLB on XM. The idea of NFL access on Sirius was intriguing, but I'm either at a game or watching it on TV, so it didn't seem
worth dropping XM for.
MLB Winter Meeting coverage on XM has been awesome.
Interesting that most people seem happy with the one they have,
regardless of which it is.

XM is awesome. They have the NHL and MLB. They have more channels than Sirus. I have been listening to there 24 hour MLB talk station consistently during the winter meetings and these guys give it to you. They had all the trades as they unfolded with great analysis (Peter Gammons, jayson Stark, and guys from all the big papers).
As far as music... They have everything you could want including songs that i have never heard before but have since downloaded onto the ipod.
XM also has ESPN news, ESPN radio, FOX sports, Sporting News Radio. Plus one station devoted to year round NHL talk and one devoted to year round MLB talk.
They also have stations covering all of the major college confrences (ACC+BIG TEN, ect...) basket ball and Football games.
