Ok, so the Rangers traded away Soriano. No problem. We get Sledge/Wilkerson/pitching prospect.
Odd.
Ok, let's discuss.
Toronto wants Wilkerson. Fine with me. We've been after Batista, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that deal happen. Wilkerson for Batista.
Clemens also was not offered arbitration by Houston. He's a Texas boy, has family relatively close, doesn't mind pitching in the AL. Chance the Rangers might go after him fairly hard? I think so. With as bad as we need pitching, I can't see us not making a run at him.
Where will Mench wind up? It's basically guaranteed that he's moving. Way too many teams interested, and we still have to get our pitching figured out. Seems like Mench is/could wind up in a bidding war. It won't be a huge war, or a big name or anything, but it should result in some decent pitching heading our way.
All in all, I'm not upset with my Rangers just yet, but they better get on the ball and get some decent pitching before the season starts.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Sounds good, I'm hoping that happens, but I have a feeling Texas may ask for a bit more.

Royals draft Fabio Castro with the first pick in the Rule 5 draft and then immediately trade him to the Rangers for Esteban German.

OK, so now we have Padilla, Eaton and from what I hear we actually may go after Millwood pretty hard. If we get him (for what will undoubtedly be at a ridiculous amount) I can't help but wonder what our rotation would look like if we had offered Rogers arbitration.
