1) Utley is now the #1 2B next year.
2) Texas must have a deal in place shipping Mench out, they've got too many OFs now...

Rotoworld...
Alfonso Soriano - 2B - Rangers

Alfonso Soriano has been traded to the Nationals for Brad Wilkerson, Terrmel Sledge and a player to be named, ESPNews reports.
We're not sure this really works for either team. If Soriano plays left field, he could be a downgrade from Wilkerson, especially when it's factored in that he'll make $10 million or so in arbitration. The Rangers plug Wilkerson into right field at the moment, with David Dellucci going back to DH. Kevin Mench could be traded for a pitcher or second baseman, opening up playing time for Sledge. Good value for the Rangers, but it doesn't really fill their needs. Let's see what they do next. Dec. 7 - 11:23 pm et

1. who's going to play 2B for the rangers?

2. maybe his value increases when they move into a new stadium but that is years down the road so he probably won't even be on the team by then. actually, the new stadium makes no difference in his stats for now or then so if anyone else was thinking it I just disproved myself, and you, all when trying to make a point. well done.

I think the kid Kinsler will take over 2B. I don't understand this for Texas though. They were supposed to turn one of their big bats into a good arm. I'm not sure how this does that, unless they move Mench or Wilkerson for one. They probably will, but who?

I can see Vazquez going to Texas now. Arizona was asking for Wilkerson from the Nats. Maybe Texas deals him now. :-?

I thought Vaz listed Texas on his no trade list?

I wasn't aware. What other pitcher could Texas go after? Zito? That's a longshot though.

One problem with this is that Texas still has no pitching! Vaz did list them as a team he could not be traded to. The Rangers should have tried to of gotten patterson.

This trade makes absolutely no sense for the Rangers. Why trade Soriano? And the Nationals are going to convert him to LF? Sure, he's not the most sure-handed 2B in the game, but is he really going to be any better in the OF?

Wow. 8-o 8-o Way to get some pitching Texas ;-D Two average OF's for a top three 2B. Granted he is going to make around 10 mil soon, but there must have been a better deal then this.
