1 year $5 million deal...

He couldn't have gotten better than that? I would've given him more than that to pitch a year for the Yanks. I guess Cleveland needed to make a move on him though since they lost out on Hoffman. Good signing by the Tribe.

Hmm, yeah.

Bob Wickman for $5 mill. That's not a bad price.

So, who's still left at the closer market? Boy, did it dwindle fast as soon as Ryan and Wagner got signed. Everybody started going after closers.

I was hoping they'd get Trevor... Oh well. Hopefully Big Bob can be solid for them again this year.

Maybe the Indians can use some of the money they've saved to find a player who would be an upgrade over Blake or Boone. :-B

Well if Wicky can stay healthy then this is a sweet deal. I bet the Tribe is regretting not paying B.J. Ryan, but Wicky for 1 year is a minimal risk/high reward move. Now the Tribe should have some cash for a bat, a set up man, or a starter. I listened to Shapiro on the radio the other day and those were the three things he thought the team needed in no particular order.
