I don't like this trade for either side perosnally. Floyd probably wouldn't be a great defensive 1st basemen, and his health is always a concern, although getting his bat would be very nice. Benson is a mediocre SP. Hennessey pitched well at times last year and could easily develop into a solid #4 starter. Valdez is no longer projected to be a starter, and they are converting him to be a reliever. They hope that he will be able to close but last I heard he was still having some control problems and the Giants weren't too high on him. The guy that I don't like giving up is Esteve. According to my sources with the Giants, they think that he is their best prospect (Cain no longer counts). They believe that he is ready to hit at a major league level as soon as this upcoming year, the problem is finding him a position in the field. He recently had arm surgery and his arm strength in the OF is a question now, so he had been playing DH in the minors. I don't see why the Mets would do this either, they want to win now and there is no way that this trade helps them do that.
