So this would mean...who in CF? Bonds in Left, Alou in CF, Floyd in RF? Somebody goes to 1B? Not logical if you ask me.

This trade just doesn't make sense for either side.

Floyd to play 1st, with the OF being Bonds, Winn, and Alou.

I want Vladez and Hennessey, but I want Floyd even more. Benson would then turn into the #2-3 starter.

#1 Schmidt
#2 Lowry
#3 Cain
#4 Benson
#5 Correia

Not in that order

For the Mets it would give them cash and prospects and creat room for a big acquisition.

I questioned the move for the Giants unless they think Floyd can play 1st.

Sounds like just a rumor anyway.

Sounds good to me. Maybe it is just the small part of a bigger multiple team deal.

Perhaps they are stockpiling some prospects to spin to Oakland for Zito (and to free up salary)

The Giants and A's have talked about a possible Zito deal but maybe the Mets can take Zito, and give Valdez + more.

I know the A's love young arms, but they have Blanton, Haren, Harden, Garcia, Saarloos, Meyer, Kennedy, not to mention Cruz and the Loaiza signing. Barring a trade (I've heard Saarloos and another player to TB for Gomes) they really are pretty set on pitching for awhile. They want Lastings!!!
