I never thought he would leave. Unless the Tribe gave him the third year guaranteed and they didn't. Probably a good no sign by the Tribe as they would have had to pay him about 22 mil over 3 years guaranteed. Its hard to guarantee all those years for a 38 year old pitcher with a shoulder problem.

Ya this sucks since this deal fell through. It would have been nice to have Hoffman closing out games instead of the shaky "Slim" Wickman
