that's nice..i hope he finishes out his great career w/a flourish...that puts him in pretty good company of players who played their entire ML career for one team...al kaline..yaz..cal..mr cub..roberto

Sucks for the Tribe, who really thought they had him. They lost what could have been the missing piece to a really nice team. As is Wickman's not bad but Hoffman would have made a difference for them.

Hoffy's where he should be though. I just hope he wasn't leading Cleveland on, the whole while planning on going back to SD. Shapiro seems like a good guy and the club sounded thrilled Hoffy would end up there.

Like I said they'll get Wickman and still be fine but Hoffman would have made them a real threat, even moreso than they are now.
