Cubs fans: Any idea if Wood will be a RP or SP next year?

I have to respectfully disagree with you BigL:

Kerry Wood came off two pretty complete seasons in 01 and 02 with 175 innings and over 200 innings. In 03, the first year under the Lizard, he pitched over 200 innings and then the wheels fell off.

And we arent even chronicling the abuse heaped upon Mark Prior.

Wood

I read where ther rotation at the start of the season would be
Zambrano
Pryor
Maddux
Rusch
Willioms

It said that they wanted to work Wood into the rotation.
I think I read this clip at Rotoworld player news.

Wood will have the role of designated DL filler next year.

Obligatory injury joke aside, my understanding is that they will work him back into the rotation when he's ready. Should it continue to not work significantly into the season, maybe they'll move him back into a relief role. But he should take a rotation spot when he returns.

Well the latest news from Rotoworld says otherwise.

Rotoworld.com wrote:Dr. Timothy Kremchek was pleased with the progress of Kerry Wood (shoulder) after examining him last week. Would is expected to begin throwing next month.
When Wood underwent surgery, it was with the goal of being ready for Opening Day. However, the Cubs probably aren't even going to let him try to begin the season in the rotation. Instead, they'll use Glendon Rusch and Jerome Williams behind Carlos Zambrano, Mark Prior and Greg Maddux in the rotation.

Rumor of Wood being Dealt to the Nats for Vidro and Church.

Kerry Wood = Damaged Goods.

With all the serious throwing related injuries he has had in his young career, I doubt he will ever be healthy enough to become the pitcher we had hoped.

If he stays with the Cubbies, they'll keep using them as a starter.

BAAAAHHHH ...

can you name me one starting picther that Dusty has ruined?
A) wood was injured long before Dusty got there, and all of Marks injuries have been freakish in nature ..

so name me one "other" starting pitcher Dusty ruined, and back it up with some fact.
You wont, because you can't, because there are none .. but go ahead and give it try ..

anything to remove that sheep moniker you just earned

I just can't see Kerry doing anything but starting no matter where he is pitching at. I would love to see a healthy trio of Wood, Prior, and Zambrano pitch for one entire year and just see what they could do for the Cubs.

They did and got pretty far in the playoffs and lost to the Fins.
