Does anyone have a clue what we can look forward to next year? If not for the trades this year I wouldn't give most of these signings the time of day.

Don't you think the Cubs will ink Prior long-term?

I doubt Prior would sacrifice his free agency.

Prior is a SoCal guy. Born and raised, went to USC, etc. If the Padres, LAA, or even LAD step up with a comparable deal as the Cubbies offer, my guess is that he'll take it.

There you go ;-D

Some list, exactly who dictated the "Marquee Free Agents"? Radke, Pettite, Mulder and Zito. Yeah, some great pitchers, but there are other names on the list that are just as big if not bigger. What a painful year to be a fan of a bad team. Nobody is out there to sign! Aaargh! I dunno if I'm even gonna be in Baltimore come next year, frustrating!

Yeah, both he and Zito went to USDHS for High School and USC (though Zito first went to UCSB). Both will be home in '07. Can't wait. :-)
