Guys, what the hell is going on. athleticsnation.com is going ballistic about the rumour that Gammons has out regarding us trading for David Wells. Personally, I think I will go mad if Wells is on the A's come spring training. Like you mentioned elsewhere HM, if we do trade Duke for Wells, it had better be to flip Wells elsewhere (i.e. Dodgers). If it is because Wells is going into the rotation, then NO. I'd rather have Duke in the rotation.

One point that was brought up at AN was that Wells never walks anyone, induces alot of groundballs, so he might benefit from a very good defense. However, if you get the chance, go check out Wells splits from 2005 home vs away. He was brutal out of Fenway. Not sure what that says either!!

So at this stage it looks like we are getting possibly Thomas, Piazza or Bradley. I would be surprised if none of these guys is an A come ST.

Although apparently the Dodgers are leaning towards trading Bradley to Chicago. I think the A's will sign Thomas.

But man, i'm getting a headache so who knows.

One thing is for sure, it looks like the Reds are trading Casey to the Pirates, moving Dunn to first, and opening a spot for Willy Mo in their outfield. Oh well, might have to change my sig.
