The Dodgers are making a run at Alfonso Soriano, according to ESPN's Peter Gammons.
Supposedly, the Dodgers want Soriano as a second baseman, even though they already have Jeff Kent and Cesar Izturis. It they're going to give up two top prospects to get him a year before he becomes a free agent, it could be a disaster. Dec. 6 - 3:08 pm et
This makes no sense.

As long as the Rangers get reasonable starting pitching in return, I'd be for that trade.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I thought they were shipping around Kent anyways. Perhaps they trade Kent then execute this deal. From what I have read/heard, they certainly have the pitching prospects to entice the Rangers. Not a bad infield with Furcal and Soriano but where does that leave Izturis- 3B?
