He's not trash. He might be a head case (okay, IS a head case), but he's still only 26, and was pretty damn good last year for a Colorado pitcher. I still have hope.

By this I assume you mean talented guy who can't handle the altitude and sucks when he pitches in Colorado? Of course, he did have a 4.37 ERA at home last year, which is strikingly similar to the 4.23 ERA Kerry Wood had last season. Shall we call him a typical Cubs pitcher?
Kim is incredibly talented, yes. And he's an incredible head case.
But has he solved his problems? Maybe. He's still only 26. And a 4.23 era in Denver is pretty damn good. I think the signs are good that he'll pull out of his funk and become the pitcher his talent says he should be. If he gets out of Colorado and goes to anywhere but Texas, he should be a great value pick.

To be completely honest, for a million bucks I'd be happy to see him re-don a purple and teal uniform and pitch for the D-Backs again
