Milton Bradley could be on his way to the A's for right-hander Kirk Saarloos and left-hander Mario Ramos.
Rumors are floating that it's a done deal. The A's official site says only that the team has offered Saarloos and another player to the Dodgers for Bradley. If the A's get Bradley, they could play Nick Swisher at first base and use Dan Johnson as a DH. Another option would be to trade Jay Payton or Mark Kotsay and continue to pursue a designated hitter. Hmm, we really don't have any need for Saarloos other than as a 6th starter and in long relief, and we already have Kennedy for that. Although I liked the righty/lefty combo of Saarloos and Kennedy. I don't know how Bradley would fit in with the A's players, that's really my biggest concern. He should put up decent numbers if healthy, but is it worth the temper?

I almost did, and the A's aren't even my favorite team. :*)

I like the deal. Bradley is a good player and is certainly talented enough to be an upper-echelon OF. Too bad they couldn't get billingsley or jackson though.

Oakland just loves players with a high OBP. Gameboy has always had a high OBP.

Bradley is far better than Jay Payton...I don't see Saarloos being of use to Oakland...good trade for the As if this passes.

I still can't see Bradley in an A's uniform, just doesn't seem right. Personally I stay away from the man on draft day...too volatile. Although the first half of last season he was very impressive.
