I agree cwebb, but how do you justify a few more HR's vs. the number of K's he will put up. Hernandez has 97 for the season! Besides I am of the point now that Baker would play Harris over Lowell ever if we were able to pick him up. Harris is "hitting the interstate" (a CHI term).
And willie. I saw where Mark went 3-6, but the thing is, the last time he went 3-6 for the Cubbies was May 2-3 (ironically against the Rockies). After that he went 2 for 17. For the Cubbies he was batting .209 at 3B and .200 as a PH. I hope he finds his swing in Colorado, cause he sure didnt have it at the friendly confines.
Just as a side note, Bellhorn took the 3B job away from Chris Stynes in Chicago, wonder if it will happen in Col.?
I wish Baker would play Hernandez or Martinez at 3rd until something different (which is our only hope) is done. Our 3b inability to hit the ball and Estes and Clements inconsistency on the mound will be the undoing of this team.
Mr. Hendry, please get us a 3B and a decent number 4 or 5 starter and move Welly, Guzman or Cruz into the other spot!
