Heh, I just found Baseball America's predictions. They're kind of similar to mine, except I completely forgot about Rich Harden. Oops.

Manny was born in the Dr. Arod (who has never been to the DR) has a parent from there. accodring to Selig on XM radio they are using Olympic rules so if you can get a passport in a country you can play there.
On another note: They also are using IOC drug testing rules though if you test positive you won't be suspened from any MLB games .
That is completely wrong. Arod actually lived in the DR from ages 4 to 8 and goes back there every off-season. Before the idea of the WBC was even created, Arod stated many times that he would love to one day represent his parents' country.
From a business point of view, Arod has to represent the Dominican. He is treated like a hero down there and has many, many endorsements. If he were to not play for the Dominican the people would never forgive him. He would lose all the money from his endorsements and the respect of the Dominican people. If he doesn't play for the US, no one here would hold it against him.
And, all offseason he has been quoted many times in the Dominican papers as saying that he will play for the Dominican team.
