Seriously, if they could just add 1 solid RBI/HR guy in the middle of the lineup, it would be a pretty decent lineup. Here's hoping they can trade Batista or Lilly for someone.

Sounds like a good trade-off to me.
I still don't agree with ever letting Delgado go. Burnett and Ryan are obviously good uses for that cash, though.
does the Jays still have the same lineup?
get some bat!
1 SS Russ Adams 2 LF Frank Catalanotto 3 CF Vernon Wells 4 3B Corey Koskie 5 1B Shea Hillenbrand 6 C Gregg Zaun 7 RF Alex Rios 8 DH Eric Hinske 9 2B Orlando Hudson
I'm assuming there will be several trades for hitting involving the excess in the pitching (Batista, Lilly, Bush, Downs, Marcum, McGowan etc..), but for nothing like an Adam Dunn.

I heard that Ricciardi met with Frank Thomas earlier today. If it does happen, that would certainly be a low-risk and a high-reward signing, which would certainly be good for the Jays.

ever since you guys traded Delgado there isn't that one guy that opposing pitchers fear and pitches around in the lineup, Wells sure isn't that guy.
and to think the Jays used to have(I think) 4 guys hitting 25 HRs before the allstar break
