I would probably pass on walking on it as the Grand Canyon is big enough that you wouldn't miss all that much by standing next to it. I am not too keen on heights.

When we went to the Canyon a couple of years ago, I got a book called "Death in the Grand Canyon" that was quite amusing about all of the people who have fallen in, drowned, been baked in the desert, etc....

I've been to the GC, but only on a backpacking trip to a remote part of it called Havasupai. Great, fairly remote spot known for its many waterfalls. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

the sky walk is relatively small, has a lot of glass (won't stick out against canyon walls) and is in relatively out of the way spot. if you dont see the aircraft you probably arent going to notice the sky walk. if you dont mind or dont notice the noise and air pollution of the air craft i just dont understand why you would be opposed to the sky walk.
