It may be too little, too late, but the Padres raised their offer to free agent Trevor Hoffman yesterday.
They may not have gone to three guaranteed years, which is something the Indians have done. Instead, the third year could be a vesting option. Hoffman is believed to be ready to sign with Cleveland. Dec. 6 - 11:34 am et
