That is about the lamest source for a trade rumor i've seen. Alright here, i'll start another one here....maybe this'll get quoted on that site.

"I heard the Mets are going to trade Kaz, Benson, and Benson's wife to Boston for Manny Ramirez."

Just read this on rotoworld: Anna Benson believes the Mets are trying to trade her husband because of her negotiations to pose nude for Playboy.
Anna added that there would be no pictorial, as talks broke down last month over money. There is believed to be some truth to the idea that Mets management was uncomfortable with the idea that she might go through with it. I didn't add Kent yet because it's just an Internet rumor! Lo Duca wasn't added because the deal hasn't been finalized. He is slated to to make $6.5M next year but there will be at least $1M paid by the Marlins since the trade requires Selig's approval. I also have an extra $.32M in the list, one player too many for the 25-man. So if the Lo Duca trade goes through the payroll will be ~$101.5M.

Some notes about the salaries listed above: Both Beltran and Pedro had signing bonuses that counted last year and deferrals that will not count for several years. This is the reason why they only count for this year at the amounts listed. Delgado's salary has been adjusted based on the amount being paid by the Marlins for this season as well as the NY State tax increase.

Victor Zambrano and Ramon Castro are estimations based on last year's salary. Both of them are arbitration-eligible but the posted figures should be pretty close to what they will receive.

Steve Trachsel has an extremely low base salary. The incentives package could raise this quite a bit. Upwards of $10M I believe but many of the incentives are not attainable unless he morphs into Johan Santana.

Looper and Heredia's salaries are the cost of the option buy-out.

Obviously neither Mo Vaughn and Roger Cedeno are on the roster but their deferrals kick in this year.
