To maybe make a run at Manny? Probably not but thats the only thing I can think of

Well I buy the part about Kent being traded just not necessarily to the Mets. Supposedly Kent is pissed and wants out because they are moving him to 1B. They certainly wouldn't move him to the Mets for Matsui. My fantasies are not always realistic. :-D

Well, if the Dodgers trade kent, then maybe they are thinking about keeping Bradley. And Izturis has to play somewhere when he comes back... I am pretty sure Furcal will stay at SS.

Also, I think the Mets 'anti-midas touch' would strike if they pull this off, and Kent would be out for much of next season...

And not that it matters, because this is a stupid argument anyway, but the Mets have made it to the World Series more recently than Atlanta. ;-)
