I'm really starting to hate the Mets.

I wonder if this is really serious or just pressure for Molina or Hernandez to sign already. If this is serious, Lo Duca is not much of a defensive upgrade over Piazza.

I agree with Rirruto

Their offense should be fine, with whoever they get at catcher.
I agree about the defense statement. I think they should try to get the best defensive catcher available.

It's just an attempt to muscle Hernandez IMHO.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

This is good news for the Braves, and any potential Pierre suiters with a catcher to spare.......

I agree just rumors to put pressure on Hernadez. IMO he's the Mets #1 choice at catcher.

Edit: Reading those articles I hope they are just rumors as I read twice about Victor Diaz going to Florida for Laduca. Also intresting to see in I believe the Daily News that the Braves will look to move Estrada over the winter meetings??

So these are rumors to force the hands of Hernandez and Molina?

I think so because Lo Duca makes zero sense for the Mets except for the fact that he is a New Yorker. If you're going to go down this road might as well bring Piazza back.
