I want to talk AL Only leagues. Anyone in one?

I'm in a twelve team AL only salary cap league. 14 bats , 9 arms. We are 5X5: Hitting is runs, rbi, hr, sb, avg; Pitching is wins, saves, ERA, WHIP, and holds. Yes...holds. We are allowed 9 reserves.

Hitters: 5OF, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 2Catchers, DH, MI, CI


We have a 75 cap at the draft but the cap moves to 100 during the season to keep some teams from overloading on expensive players...so you only have 25 dollars of wiggle room.

Anyone in a similar league want to talk AL only strategy?

I'm in an AL only keeper league; everything is exactly the same as yours except we don't use holds or runs. We too have the wiggle room during the season.

12 team $260.00 cap for the draft but only move to $275.00 after the draft. Standard 5x5 format 11 keepers form season to season. First two years player remains at his buy price be it through the draft, faab or called up from the minor and was on your team. The third year we can elect to add a year for $5.00 per each year with no limit. Or let the contract run out in the third year at its current statis and the player goes back to the drafy the next year. Minor leaguers can stay on your minor reserve as long as you want them to but if they come up for more then two weeks they become a year 1 player and the clock starts ticking on the contract. They are $5.00 from day one but don't count as against your 11 keepers ifthey are still in minor league statis.We can also have up to five.
